Amanda was born and raised in Tucson, AZ, with her dad, stepmom, and siblings. She started attending an area church at a young age after an invitation was given to her and her family. Every week, the church bus would pick her and her brothers up for Sunday School. That is where she was introduced to and accepted Jesus.
In 1999, she began attending Calvary Chapel with her future husband, Donnie and began serving in Children’s Ministry with him. They married in 2001, and in 2008 they enrolled their children in the Calvary Homeschool Co-Op. Joining the school was such a blessing for Amanda, which surrounded her and her family with many wonderful friends. It was there, that they became more involved in Children’s Ministry events. Amanda would later be hired as the West Campus Children’s Ministry Director. As well as taking care of the day-to-day Sunday School needs, she and the other Children’s Ministry staff, plan many fun events that minister to kids and their families. She loves the fellowship with all the wonderful volunteers she serves with. She also strives to make sure that not only kids, but their parents feel welcomed and loved. Developing relationships with families and volunteers is a highlight of her job. Amanda and Donnie keep busy raising their 5 children: 4 girls and 1 boy.
